Singapore eldercare costs

Compare nursing homes, home care, and day care using official subsidy rules in Singapore dollars

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there no national nursing-home fee average?

MOH does not publish a national private nursing-home fee median. We show official subsidy rules instead of inventing a mid-point. Ask the provider and AIC for the current fee.

What subsidies apply from 1 July 2026?

Eligible Singapore Citizens born in 1969 or earlier can receive up to 80% for residential long-term care and up to 95% for home and community care. Citizens born after 1969 can receive up to 75% residential and 80% community. The monthly PCHI ceiling is S$4,800. Source: Ministry of Health, moh.gov.sg.

What do CareShield Life and MediSave Care pay?

CareShield Life pays S$689 a month for a successful new claim in 2026 (CPF Board). MediSave Care lets eligible severely disabled residents aged 30 and above withdraw up to S$200 a month in cash, depending on the MediSave balance.

How can I reduce care costs?

Ask AIC about means-tested subsidies, CareShield Life claims, MediSave Care withdrawals, and Pioneer or Merdeka Generation benefits. Comparing providers on seniorhelp.care helps you collect current SGD quotes.
